The European Union opened the Second ICT Call

The deadline of Call 2 of the Information and Communication Technologies is 9 October 2007

The European Commission announced the second call for proposals of the ICT theme of the FP7 Cooperation Programme on 12 June 2007.

This call will support projects in nine research topics, covering five of the seven challenges: 1. Pervasive and Trusted Network and Service Infrastructures; 2. Components, systems, engineering; 3. Towards sustainable and personalized healthcare; 4. ICT for mobility, environmental sustainability and energy; 5. ICT for independent living and inclusion.

The new call is funded at 477 million Euros. The first projects funded from this call will be launched early 2008.
